Implements Prevention and Upstream Strategies Provides for evidence-based, best practice suicide prevention education and training. Conducts community-based outreach events, awareness campaigns and educational presentations. Disseminates suicide prevention materials and messaging aligned with state and national best practices. Provides for upstream suicide prevention initiatives that promote mental wellness, resilience, connectedness and protective factors. Builds and maintains partnerships with schools, healthcare systems, veteran services, faith-based organizations, youth-serving agencies, and community coalitions. Collects and reports program data related to outreach, training participation and service outcomes. Provides for Intervention, Postvention and Follow-Up Supportive Services. Provides brief intervention, screening, safety planning and referral for individuals identified as at-risk for suicide. Provides supportive follow-up services including check-ins, treatment referral, safety planning assessment and link to additional services. Provides and assists in the coordination of postvention support following a suicide death or attempt, including outreach to families, schools, workplaces and community partners. Supports survivors of suicide loss through education, resources and referrals.
