Pioneer Human Services is looking for a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) with a passion for human services. This role involves providing quality treatment services to clients with substance use disorders using evidence-based and promising practices.   • Provide evidence-based and/or promising substance use disorder services through counseling, psycho-educational classes, process groups, problem-solving, and case management.
  • Diagnose substance use disorders in accordance with the DSM-5 and ASAM requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Pioneer behavioral healthcare providers and community partners based on the clients’ Individual Service Plan.
  • Maintain and file complete and accurate documentation of all activities according to applicable WACs, agency, and funder policies.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of community resources.
  • Assist first responders as needed.
  • Attend shift/staff meetings and actively participate in planning and communication.
  • Utilize critical thinking and judgment to identify the most professional therapeutic reaction or intervention in client care.
  • Document observations in daily notes in accordance with program policy.
  • Promote and model teamwork and collaboration with coworkers.
  • Ensure client and employee safety by maintaining, cleaning, and disposing of equipment and supplies according to policy and procedures.
  • Maintain quality of care consistent with or exceeding standards set by federal, state, local, internal, and contract requirements.
  • Assist in the development of treatment methodologies and educational offerings.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards for behavioral health services.
  • Retrieve client and program data as needed.
  • Complete peer file audits to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation and services.
  • Participate in agency supervision toward obtaining and maintaining licensure.
  • Obtain additional training required by applicable WACs.
  • For positions in 24-hour locations, obtain and maintain a valid Washington State Food Handler's permit within one week of hire.
  • For positions in 24-hour locations, become CPR & First Aid certified within 90 days of hire.
  • Associate’s Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or related human services field.
  • Credentialed with the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) in the State of Washington.
  • For SUDP: Credentialed with the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) in the State of Washington.
  • Completed first 50 hours of direct supervised training (for SUDPT).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or related human services field.
  • Course work, experience, or trainings in human development, chemical dependency, residential treatment or related disciplines.
  • Experience working in substance use disorder field and/or residential services (for SUDP).
  • Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance, if designated by the work location.
  • Compensation range for SUDPT: $19.45 – 24.31 hourly.
  • Compensation range for SUDP: $22.75 – 28.43 hourly.
