General Summary: The SUD Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, implementation, and ongoing services of the Pima County Opioid grant. The role is critical in leading staff, managing project timelines and deliverables, building partnerships, and improving outcomes for individuals affected by substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a field related to Behavioral/Mental/Physical Health
  • Three (3) years management experience required.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Able to pass a minimum 5 panel drug test & submit to regular screening.
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • Maintain a clear Central Registry Background Check.
  • CPR, First Aid (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • Current, valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements.

  • Prior experience in providing clinical supervision in a behavioral/mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Staff recruitment, retention, and management
  • Recruit, hire and onboard staff.
  • Train staff in project goals, responsibilities, and tracking.
  • Develop and manage staff workflows for service provision.
  • Provide direction and supervision evaluating staff performance.
  • Grant monitoring
  • Review, train staff and develop reporting tracking methods to meet all grant metrics.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring components of the grant are executed and planned.
  • Prepare and submit all grant reports, progress updates, performance metrics, and documentation by required deadlines.
  • Work closely with leadership and finance team to monitor proper spending of funds.
  • Member enrollment and engagement
  • Establish justice and hospital partnerships including referral protocols and processes.
  • Develop and create other strategies for increased community outreach.
  • Develop and execute referral processes, establishing clear responsibilities for staff and other stakeholders.
  • Develop intake workflow and work closely with site intake clinicians to ensure intake is completed and proper assignment to services identified in grant are provided.
  • Track outreach and member participation in services being quick to identify gaps or flows in process that need to be reviewed.
  • Ensure all workflows are efficient and effective in improving the members experience.
  • Service provision
  • Ensure required screening is completed with each member (SDOH, assessments, SUD) and recommended referrals are done for services and resources.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to provide services related to housing and employment.
  • Work closely with MAT leadership to improve the quality and diversity of SUD services ensuring staff are properly trained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and in relation to the SUD grant.
  • Supervision
  • Organizes and manages assigned staff and manages entire SUD program.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of the assigned program, working closely with internal and external shareholders.
  • Participates with Directors in the planning, implementation, and on-going evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the program's member's care and support services.
  • Ensures that assigned staff are providing services that are evidence-based and clinically appropriate for the population being served.
  • Ensures that the clinical needs of the members are being met, and that their concerns are being addressed in a timely manner.
  • Conducts staff meetings and in-service training to promote, communicate and initiate established policies and procedures and to monitor program activities and their effectiveness.
  • Advises staff in a clinical professional and/or administrative matters.
  • Oversees the proper orientation, development, and supervision of all assigned program staff.
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of performance.
