About The Position

The Food Service Manager's primary goal is to operate a clean, safe, and profitable branded food service operation, specifically a Subway, where customers enjoy eating and employees enjoy working. This role emphasizes the importance of fresh ingredients, delicious food items, and excellent customer service as key components for success.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Must have a Food Handlers card.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, provide training for, and manage all employees.
  • Communicate and enforce all handbook and Company policies.
  • Provide employee coaching and document progressive discipline when required.
  • Schedule labor in accordance with federal wage and hour regulations.
  • Schedule Assistant Manager to work when Manager not on duty.
  • Ensure that food service area and equipment are clean, secure, safe, and properly maintained.
  • Strictly enforce uniform and dress code as outlined by branded food concept.
  • Must have, and ensure employees working in branded food have, Food Handlers card.
  • Inventory supplies and product.
  • Order supplies and product as necessary.
  • Ensure food items and portions meet branded food regulations.
  • Monitor and minimize waste.
  • Ensure all waste is recorded and disposed of properly.
  • Conduct weekly inventories to measures accurate food costs in relation to sales.
  • Understand and be able to execute all security and emergency protocols.
