About The Position

The Royal Independent School District is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Substitute Teachers. The role involves maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for students while ensuring the confidentiality of student and school personnel information. Substitute Teachers will implement lesson plans, supervise students, and perform various duties as assigned by building administrators. This position is crucial in supporting the educational process and ensuring the welfare of all students in the classroom.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Higher

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of student and school personnel information
• Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff
• Ensure adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students
• Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
• Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible
• Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate
• Dismiss all students from the classroom before leaving the building
• Complete a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher
• Collect and places students' papers in regular teacher's desk
• Return instructional materials, equipment, and keys to proper place
• Perform other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school/state policies and practices
