About The Position

The Katherine Thomas School Program has openings for Substitute Teaching Assistants for its elementary, middle and high school classrooms. The Katherine Thomas School is a private special education school that services students with language, learning, and sensory motor disabilities and high functioning autism. This position is responsible for assisting staff in implementing instructional lessons and monitoring students. The substitute will always be in a classroom with other school staff. Working hours vary based on the needs of the program. School hours are 8:30am - 4:15pm for elementary/middle and 7:30am - 3:15pm for high school, or any portion of time during the school day when needed. EOE.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous work in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in implementing instructional lessons
• Monitor students in the classroom
• Work collaboratively with other school staff

Benefits

• Rate of Pay - $17.50/hour without a Bachelor's Degree
• Rate of Pay - $19.00/hour with a Bachelor's Degree
