About The Position

The Bristol Warren Regional School District is hiring day-to-day substitute teachers in all grade levels to join our team! Non-Certified Substitute Teacher daily rate $125.00 per day Certified Substitute Teacher daily rate $140.00 per day

Requirements

• RI Department of Education certification OR Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree OR attainment of junior status as an undergraduate student
• Ability to recognize the individuality and uniqueness of each student and treat him/her with respect and dignity
• Ability to engage intellectually and physically in all components of the educational process
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and students

Responsibilities

• Report to the main office at the assigned building upon arrival.
• Review and implement daily lesson plans for assigned students. Follow classroom and program schedules during the school day.
• Provide an accurate reporting of student progress at the end of the day.
• Supervise students at all times in accordance with policies for student health and safety.
• Assume responsibility for overseeing student behavior in classroom, hallways, and during lunch and recess periods. Clearly defines expectations and limits, and encourages student self-discipline.
• Maintain a professional, confidential, and ethical relationship with supervisors, colleagues, and students at all times.
• Follow established procedures and policies, and federal and state regulations in all matters of employment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
