These are part-time, non-benefited positions. The Child Development Center ( CDC ), located on the Keene State College campus in Elliot Hall, is a demonstration early childhood education site for Keene State College students, practicing professionals, and young children and their families. The Center strives to model best practices by offering nurturing environments where young children are encouraged to explore, to be creative, to cultivate positive relationships, to experience the joy of learning, and to develop a sense of community. We seek to work with colleagues with proven strong social and collaborative skills and with a strong understanding of the best practices of the field, including the benefits of an emergent play-based curriculum. The CDC is a dynamic learning community dedicated to providing excellent practical experiences for students studying to be teachers or a related profession with young children. Undergraduate and graduate students are offered supervised experiences under the guidance of early childhood professionals, in the direct education and care of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
