About The Position
The Pembroke Public Schools is accepting applications for SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS/PARAPROFESSIONALS (daily, on-call substitutes) for the three elementary schools, middle school and high school in the district. Elementary is grades PreK-6, Middle School is grades 7 & 8 and high school is grades 9-12.
Responsibilities
- Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency.
- Communicate with classroom teachers and if necessary, principal regarding expectations for student work, behavior, and lesson execution.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.
- Ensure the teacher's absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction.
- Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch, bus, or recess duty).
- Abide by state statutes, school committee policies and regulations
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information
- Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
- Assumes responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
