About The Position

Currently hiring Substitute Teachers within the Newark, Wilmington and Dover areas. The ideal candidates will possess some classroom experience or experience working with children in general and hold a high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree, or a Delaware teaching license and area-specific certificate. Responsibilities of the Substitute Teacher K-12 Follow all school policies, rules, and procedures. In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, help students to learn subject matter and/or skills that are required for scheduled lessons and to provide meaningful instruction for assigned classrooms. Carry out lessons according to the primary teachers/administration instructions. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree, or a Delaware teaching license and area-specific certificate
• Must be reliable, punctual and professional
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized and committed
