About The Position

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility for individuals looking to contribute to the educational environment. Substitute Teachers will be responsible for maintaining the continuity of instruction and managing the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.

Requirements

• Hold a valid NJ Teacher Certificate (CE, CEAS or Standard) or Valid NJ Substitute Certificate
• Minimum of 60 college credits or currently registered for college courses with at least 30 completed credits and 20 years of age or older
• Attend a Mandatory District Orientation

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive learning environment
• Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher
• Manage classroom behavior
• Provide instruction to students as directed
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students
