About The Position
Lynnfield Public Schools is actively seeking daily substitute teachers to join our team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for new college graduates or those nearing graduation who are interested in pursuing a career in education. Additionally, we welcome retired teachers and childcare providers who are looking for part-time work. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining the educational environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This includes managing classroom behavior, delivering lesson plans, and ensuring that students remain engaged and productive during their time in class. The daily rate for this position is $120, and you will have the flexibility to choose your own hours, making it an ideal job for those seeking part-time employment. In this role, you will be expected to maintain appropriate records such as attendance and grades as directed by the classroom teacher. Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom is crucial, as is the ability to adapt to various teaching styles and classroom environments. While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, we also value experience working with children and teaching. This position is on-call, meaning you will be contacted as needed to fill in for absent teachers.
