About The Position

Position Objective: A daily substitute teacher will provide effective, consistent, and engaging instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher by maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment; implementing lesson plans as provided; and supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth in accordance with FLRSD policies and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) standards
Requirements
- Two Years of College Credits (Daily Sub. Teacher)
- High School/Trade School Diploma (Daily Sub. Teacher)
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons and provide instruction as outlined in teacher plans
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment
- Support all students' learning
- Collaborate with support staff and follow student plans as needed
- Use effective teaching and classroom management strategies
- Promote high expectations, equity, and respect for diversity
- Ensure all practices align with district policies and DESE standards
- Performance of other job-related duties as assigned
