About The Position

SAU 106 is seeking qualified candidates for all substitute roles in the Timberlane Regional School District buildings. Candidates should be flexible and willing to offer coverage where it is needed. Substitute Teachers should have the ability to carry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Must upload Three Letters of Recommendation.
• Must upload copies of transcripts to substitute for teachers (2 years of full time college coursework is required).
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans.
• Assume all daily responsibilities of the position being substituted for, such as lunchroom duty and hall monitoring.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the principal.
