About The Position

To be eligible to substitute in Salado ISD, an individual must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or higher education, attend a substitute orientation provided by the district, and submit fingerprints for a background check.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Experience working with students preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains as fully possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom assigned.
• Teaches the lessons outlined and described by the absent teacher.
• Consults with the principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the lesson plan provided by the absent teacher.
• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching dictates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Superintendent.
