About The Position
The Classroom Teacher at Darnall Charter School provides an educational program for students in grades K-6 or a combination thereof, and assists in other school programs as assigned. This position is responsible for teaching various subjects including language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, health, physical education, and music, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Darnall Charter School Board. The teacher develops student understanding through a variety of relevant instructional strategies, lesson plans, and instructional materials, while providing individualized and small group instruction. The role also involves adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of each student, establishing standards of student behavior, evaluating students' academic and social growth, and communicating with parents regarding student progress.
