About The Position
Substitute teaching opportunities available on an as-needed basis for 2025-26 to assist Heartland AEA's Shelter Care Educational Program teachers in Des Moines at our Ellipsis Shelter and Polk County Juvenile Detention Center.
Requirements
- Must be appropriately licensed by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners or possess an Iowa substitute teacher license.
- Candidates should be child-centered, patient, caring, have a positive attitude and have strong interpersonal skills.
