About The Position

Substitute Teacher - Douglaston Preschool Coverage teacher who implements IEP goals for students in a classroom using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and manages the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. RESPONSIBILITIES Complete required QSAC orientation. Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals. Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions. Supervise Teacher’s Assistants/Aides and participate in the implementation of educational programs and behavior interventions. Implement and adhere to IEP/Student Program. Supervise and implement completion of program/student documentation. Supervise and delegate responsibilities to Teacher’s Assistants/Aides. Complete and maintain training requirements. Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required). Interact/communicate with parents, college interns, professionals, and other interested visitors. Punctuality and regular attendance is expected. Maintain participant/family confidentiality. Commitment to company values and adherence to policies. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management. Hourly Rate - $23.00-$29.00 - Commensurate with level of certification, education, experience and ABA credentials (if applicable) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Child Psychology, Child Development, Elementary Education, Nursery-Grade 6 Elementary Education, Special Education (Students w/ Disabilities B-2 or 1-6), or General Education – must have at least 12 credits specific to early childhood within any of these areas Experience with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis preferred. Ability to run. Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items. Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s). Requirements
