About The Position
We are looking for Early Childhood (JK-1) Lower School (Grades 2-4) Middle School (5-8). Substitute Teachers to cover classes when faculty members are absent at our campus at 86 Fourth Avenue. Responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons, classroom management, classroom set-up, providing small group support for students, leading whole group activities with the support of the Head Teacher, preparing materials, collaborating with other faculty members to support classroom routines, as well as covering recess and lunch when needed.
Requirements
- Ideal candidates are aspiring classroom teachers with previous classroom experience.
- Essential qualities include a positive attitude toward working with young children, flexibility, reliability, organization, and an ability to collaborate with faculty members at Grace.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
