About The Position

The Substitute Teacher position is designed for individuals who are looking to fill in for regular teachers on a temporary basis. This role is essential in maintaining the continuity of education within the district. Substitute teachers are expected to follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and manage the classroom effectively during their absence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 30 college credits to obtain a Substitute Certificate
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage students
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a teaching or educational role
• Bachelor's degree or higher

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Provide instruction to students in accordance with the lesson plan
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class
• Communicate with school staff and administration as needed

Benefits

• Daily rates of $110.00 for County Sub Certificate (no Bachelor's)
• Daily rates of $120.00 for County Sub Certificate with Bachelor's or higher
• Daily rates of $125.00 for NJ Teaching Certificate
