About The Position

The Region One School District is seeking skilled, enthusiastic individuals to join our team of talented substitute teachers. Region One is committed to training all substitute teachers on new health and safety protocols, providing access to online training on common digital tools, supplying any needed PPE, and allowing substitute teachers to indicate site-preferences during the application process. Region One encompasses several schools, including Lee H. Kellogg School, Cornwall Consolidated School, Kent Center School, North Canaan Elementary School, Salisbury Central School, Sharon Center School, and Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

Requirements

• CT Teaching Certification OR Bachelor's Degree (college transcripts required)
• A criminal background and Department of Children and Families (DCF) records checks
• Participation in Region One Health and Safety Training (late August, date/time TBD, compensation provided)

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes when teachers are absent
• Understand and follow lesson plans
• Use technology as directed by the teacher or administrator
• Understand and apply health and safety protocols
• Collaborate effectively with staff
