As a substitute teacher, you will have the opportunity to positively contribute to your community by sparking a love for learning with your students. You will help solve the teacher shortage crisis in America while enjoying a flexible schedule that allows you to pursue other passions and fit substitute teaching into your life. The typical working hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing you with great working hours that align with your lifestyle. With Kokua, you will earn up to $140 per day, with weekly paychecks. Daily positions pay $125 per day, while long-term positions offer $140 per day. The hiring process is quick, allowing you to receive an offer within one week of applying or less. You will have the flexibility to teach close to home, choosing from K-12 schools across the Houston area, and this role can serve as a stepping stone to full-time positions at high-performing K-12 schools. As a W-2 employee, you won't have to worry about tax complications at year-end.
