Substitute Teacher - POOL
About The Position
Job Goal: To maintain a safe, orderly environment and high level of student learning when the regular teacher is absent. Please click on the 'Substitute' pdf to view the full job description. Please also upload your verification of education (high school diploma or official college transcripts) and teaching license if applicable. References must include your current or most recent supervisor. Additional requirements after the pre-screening process is completed include a criminal background check and principal interview, which we can help you set up if assistance is needed. Once offered and accepting a position as an NHCS Substitute candidates will complete fingerprinting and online NHCS Substitute Training and Effective Teacher Training if you do not have a teaching license.
Requirements
- Non-certified subs must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified subs must have a bachelor's degree in education with a teaching license.
- Long Term subs must have an active North Carolina teaching license in the area of the long term assignment.
Nice To Haves
- Forty-eight credit hours or college degree preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
