About The Position

Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School invites applications for qualified per diem substitute teachers. Located in Washington, DC and founded in 1799, Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School educates young women in grades 9 – 12 in a faith-centered community focused on educational excellence and rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition.

Requirements

• Minimum of a four-year college degree.
• Enthusiasm for working with young women and colleagues.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Background check and child protection training certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Be available for daily needs between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
• Occasionally take on longer-term assignments based on availability and qualifications.
• Maintain reliability and timeliness in attendance.
