About The Position

The primary role of this position is to assume the classroom and other assigned duties in the absence of the regular teacher. This includes maintaining a safe learning environment, following lesson plans, and ensuring that all student, parent, and staff information remains confidential.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of college (60 semester hours) or Associate's Degree
• A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred
• Previous school/classroom experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information
• Sign in and out daily in the main office
• Use the timesheet within Frontline for monthly payment
• Maintain a safe learning environment and an orderly classroom
• Follow the provided lesson plans
• Take accurate student attendance
• Perform other duties during non-teaching time as instructed by an administrator or administrative assistant other than during the scheduled lunch period
• Leave a note with any necessary information for the teacher when he/she returns to the classroom
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor/administrator
