The Manteca Unified School District (MUSD) is seeking dedicated and qualified Substitute Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year, serving grades TK-12. MUSD is committed to providing a meaningful, measurable, and student-centered educational program that aligns with grade-level standards while prioritizing safety and supporting all emerging students. The district encompasses a diverse community across Stockton, Lathrop, Manteca, and French Camp, with a student population of approximately 23,600 and over 3,000 staff members. The educational environment fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative communication, aiming to expand the possibilities for all students. MUSD operates over 30 schools that cater to students from various cultural backgrounds and geographical areas, ranging from rural to urban settings, covering approximately 113 square miles in the southern part of San Joaquin County. Substitute Teachers will have the opportunity to take on both long-term and day-to-day assignments. Long-term assignments offer a competitive pay rate of $260 per day for assignments lasting 16 days or more. For day-to-day assignments, the pay structure is tiered based on the number of days worked, with rates starting at $100 for a half day and $200 for a full day, increasing with the number of days worked. Substitute Teachers who reach 25 days of service by June 30th will continue to progress at these pay levels in subsequent years. The district will assist first-time applicants with the Substitute Teaching Permit application process upon hire, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
