About The Position

The Substitute Teacher assists and supports the Classroom Teacher and may participate in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children. The Substitute Teacher is always under the direct supervision of a teacher assisting classroom teacher with planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions, make good judgments, and be reliable and dependable
• Exhibit sincere interest in working with young children
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Classroom Teacher
• Participate in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for children
• Work under the direct supervision of a teacher
