About The Position
Substitute Teacher/Aide Qualifications: Must hold a valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate or Must hold a valid Alabama Substitute Teacher's License (We will send you an application once you have applied). Background Check Required: (Ala. Code 16-22A-5 ) Upon offer of employment, employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Background checks must not be more than ten (10) years old. Essential Functions: Perform as a substitute teacher Review and maintain availability within the Absent Management Platform. Accept or decline substitute teaching assignments within the management platform. Follow and implement lesson plans of absent teachers to ensure instructional continuity Assume all classroom duties, including taking attendance, overseeing students, and adhering to classroom schedules. Oversee students in various settings including classroom, hallway, cafeteria, and other supervisory duties as assigned. Maintain proper learning environment in classroom Ensure instructional activities are carried out Exhibit positive personal relations skills Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism. Please note: All sub applications received will be processed, and names of those who have completed all required documentation will be placed on the sub list for the current 2025-2026 school year
