About The Position

The district is seeking a qualified applicant to substitute for a school secretary. Performs varied secretarial and clerical office support work of a responsible and confidential nature under the direction of the Principal; assists in organization and administration of school activities, programs and operations as assigned; interacts with students; teachers and other school staff; parents/guardians/central office and the public.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative/clerical experience including two years of secretarial experience
  • Working knowledge of district software applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Education Applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak and comprehend verbal and written Standard English
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students and staff
  • Calm demeanor in crisis situations

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an educational setting is desirable
