McLean School, a supportive and inclusive K–12 community with campuses in Potomac, Maryland (just one mile apart), is seeking a compassionate and skilled Substitute School Nurse to join our health team immediately on an as-needed basis during the 2025-2026 school year. The Substitute Nurse will support our Kindergarten-Grade 4 (Falls Road Campus) and Grades 5-12 (Lochivner Lane Campus) students by providing first aid and attentive nursing care to students and faculty/staff throughout the school day. The role includes administering medications safely in accordance with Physician Orders and School Policy, documenting visits and treatments using Magnus Health, our electronic medical record system, and partnering with students, families, and faculty/staff to promote student well-being and readiness to learn. The nurse will manage the Health Room independently with professionalism, warmth, and calm under pressure.
