About The Position
ExecuPets — Cleveland’s premium dog walking and pet care company — is now hiring Substitute / On-Call Pet Care Specialists to step in when our regularly scheduled walkers and sitters are unavailable. This flexible, as-needed role is perfect for someone with a big heart for animals , a reliable presence , and availability on short notice .
Requirements
- Lives in or frequently travels through Downtown Cleveland or surrounding areas (Ohio City, Tremont, Detroit-Shoreway, etc.)
- Has a flexible schedule and can work last-minute, nights, or weekends
- Is confident, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Has experience with pets — especially dogs and cats
- Communicates clearly and uses a smartphone confidently
- Can pass a background check and has reliable transportation
- Is 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide dog walks and in-home pet visits as a fill-in for other team members
- Follow customized instructions to care for a variety of pets
- Offer timely photo updates and notes through our mobile app
- Work independently while representing ExecuPets with professionalism and warmth
