Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Successful completion of Washington State Patrol background clearance and fingerprint check
  • Keyboarding experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with processing MAP testing and reporting
  • Establish positive relationships with students.
  • Prepares specified learning materials or equipment for use in classroom.
  • Reports on learning or difficulties encountered by students to the certificated staff member.
  • Assists with test administration.
  • Scores objective tests according to procedures prescribed by certificated personnel.
  • Operates automated instructional equipment.
  • Ability to handle disruptions and behavior problems.
  • Reports learning or other difficulties encountered by students to the certificated staff.
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
  • Must be a quick learner with good math and computation skills.
  • Aid program staff in managing care of autistic students.
  • Ability to work with body fluids.
  • Prepares specified learning materials or equipment for use by students.
  • Reports on learning or difficulties encountered by students to the certificated staff member or supervisor.
  • Operates automated and technical instructional equipment.
  • Ability to handle disruptions and behavior problems.
  • Reports learning or other difficulties encountered by students to the certificated staff or supervisor.
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Relieves the teacher of routine clerical duties in the classroom.
  • Ability to get along with students, staff, and community.
  • Ability to be a positive role model and always maintain a positive attitude toward students.
  • Computer and clerical skills as assessed by school administration, including the possible use of objective testing if determined appropriate by school administration.
  • Follow all district policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Interest in children with learning difficulties.
  • Patience with slow progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.
