About The Position

The position involves filling in where needed to ensure efficient operation within the kitchen environment. The assignment location may vary from day to day. Duties include washing dishes, performing clean-up duties, setting up service areas, serving food, and assisting the Kitchen Manager with meal service preparation and operation of the computerized point of sale system. Effective communication with the Kitchen Manager and other staff members is essential.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid/current food handler's permit.
  • Cleared fingerprints from Washington State Patrol and the FBI on file with OSPI.
  • Completed yearly online WSD safeschools training upon getting on the substitute list.
  • Send SMDR forms to any school district or daycare/learning center where you have worked.

Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes and perform clean-up duties.
  • Set up service areas for meal service.
  • Serve food to students and staff.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with meal preparation.
  • Operate the computerized point of sale system.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
