About The Position
The Substitute Nurse will provide nursing coverage for absent or vacant nursing positions serving students across the district. This role involves utilizing the nursing process as directed by district-certificated school nurses to deliver care to students, implementing and documenting a plan of care for each student as designed and agreed upon. The nurse will assist with vision and hearing screenings, dispense medication, implement student medical/emergency plans, and work collaboratively with staff to create a friendly and caring atmosphere for students and parents. Other nursing duties may be assigned as needed.
