About the position

The employee will move among all schools within the district to cover staff outages. This position involves preparing and serving food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides. The employee will also perform various cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing. Additional responsibilities include brewing coffee, filling beverage machines, and setting up hot and/or cold food areas. The employee may also be required to deliver food to staff, students, and catering events when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Move among all schools within the district to cover staff outages
  • Prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides
  • Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing
  • Brew coffee and fill beverage machines
  • Set up hot and/or cold food area
  • Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events when necessary
  • Comply with all state, Federal, and local health department requirements for safe food handling
  • Comply with all client location security protocols and guidelines
  • Check and store incoming supplies
  • Follow assigned break schedules
  • Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and participate in ware washing if assigned
  • Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
  • Participate on safety committee
  • Attend all mandatory in-service programs
  • Manage POS/cash handling if applicable for position

  • Adhere to all Whitsons policies and procedures at all times
  • Support the goals, objectives, and mission statement set forth by Whitsons
  • Comply with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements
