Our accredited institution has been offering quality ESL programs to college-aged international students since 1982, with campuses in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Rowland Heights. We are currently seeking in-person substitute ESL teachers for morning and evening shifts. The morning classes run from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday, while the evening class schedule is from 5:30 pm to 10:20 pm Monday through Wednesday and 5:30 pm to 8:20 pm on Thursdays. This position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 5 to 20 per week, and offers a pay rate starting from $23.00 per hour. In this role, you will be responsible for developing individual lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and teaching adult international students in-person, with an average class size of 10-15 students. You will design engaging and interactive lessons for adult ESL learners, assign homework and projects to students via our online platform, administer quizzes and tests, and grade students' work while providing constructive feedback. Additionally, you will be required to record attendance and grades using the school's system, submit monthly and quarterly reports for private tutoring students, and attend bi-quarterly faculty meetings while participating in professional development sessions. We offer two professional development sessions per quarter led by our Academic Director and Head Teachers to guide our faculty in developing and/or learning new skills and methods.
