The Substitute Early Head Start/Head Start Teacher is responsible for substituting in a classroom with children ages 3 and under. This role involves treating all children and adults with dignity and respect, assuring the safety and well-being of all children, and promoting feelings of trust and security in infants and toddlers. The teacher must be warm, supportive, and comforting, establishing strong and caring relationships with the children. The position requires following the program to meet the needs of individual children, considering their interests, special needs, talents, and individual learning styles and paces.
