About The Position
West Chester Area School District seeks to increase our substitute custodial resource pool. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary. To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Perform various tasks in buildings where assigned. Replacement custodial duties for absent custodians:
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is necessary
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside contacts
Responsibilities
- Empty trash into larger container
- Dusting top and flat surfaces
- Emptying pencil sharpeners
- Cleaning chalk/dry marker boards
- Dust mop and vacuum floors
- Wet mop floors
- Dump trash from large container into dumpster
- Ability to use all custodial equipment
