The position of substitute cooks for the Marion City Schools are now open. JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Substitute Cook RESPONSIBLE TO: Head Cook DEPARTMENT: Cafeteria GENERAL DUTIES: Helps heat and serve meals and cleans up all facilities and equipment in an acceptable manner. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Performs the duties assigned daily by the head cook. Assists in the preparation and service of all menu items. Cooperates with the head cook in meeting serving time deadlines. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Assists in the instruction and direction of student help in the cafeteria. Stores food in a proper and sanitary manner. Practices all recommended sanitation procedures. Applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Basic math skills required. Computer skills are preferred or willingness to be trained. Operates all commercial kitchen appliances as needed.
