About The Position

Requirements

• Commercial CDL license with all necessary endorsements to drive the school bus.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Good vision and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner.
• Explain rules and regulations to students riding on the bus.
• Use assertive discipline techniques to manage student behavior.
• Complete disciplinary reports for students who do not respond to disciplinary actions.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections of the bus as mandated by the State.
• Report all accidents, mechanical problems, and hazardous conditions immediately.
• Maintain the care, cleanliness, and gassing of the bus.
• Attend training courses and meetings to enhance skills related to transportation.
• Prepare reports and maintain records as requested.
