Full Time Substitute Bus Driver (2025-2026) - Transportation
About The Position
This position of the 2025-2026 school year. Operate a school bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging students; provide safe and efficient transportation for district students to and from school, special events and field trips; perform daily inspections and operator maintenance of vehicle; assist in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally handicapped students as necessary. The position is for at least 6 - 8 hours per day and 179 days per year. 170 student instructional days, 4 paid holidays, 5 extended days Contracted days will be adjusted depedning upon start date. (Considered full time with benefit - see below) New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.) Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma or GED
- CDL License with School Bus and Passenger Endorsement
- Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire
