Training will be provided at no cost to the applicant SUPPORT SERVICE PERSONNEL Days: 186/187 Reports to: SUPERVISOR OF TRANSPORTATION Required: High school diploma or equivalent Pass yearly physical examination Hold at least a valid Class B CDL with a school bus and passenger endorsement with not more than 4 points Meet all minimum state school bus operator requirements Ability to work without supervision Cooperate and get along with others Honesty Work as a member of a team Desirable: Knowledge of the streets of the City of Canton Knowledge of the locations of Canton City Schools and buildings Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a Bus Driver include, but are not limited to, the following: Obeys all traffic laws Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Maintains discipline with the students Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority Keeps assigned bus clean Keeps to the assigned schedule Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness Discharges students only at designated stops Performs other duties as assigned Canton City School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
