About The Position

The Dinuba Unified School District is seeking a Bus Driver. The days and hours for this position will vary. The role involves driving a school bus safely and efficiently, performing pre-trip safety inspections, and reporting any mechanical malfunctions as required. The Bus Driver will also be responsible for maintaining a safe discipline level among passengers, observing legal and defensive driving practices, and learning designated routes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the bus in clean and proper working condition, administering first aid, maintaining routine records, and effectively communicating with others. The position requires the ability to meet schedules and timelines, operate a two-way radio, and observe health and safety regulations. The Bus Driver must also perform moderately to heavy manual activities and establish cooperative working relationships with staff and the public.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed.
  • Valid first aid and CPR certificate issued by an authorized agency.
  • Valid California Class A or B driver's license with appropriate passenger and air brake endorsements.
  • Valid School Bus Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol.
  • Valid Medical Examiners Certificate for commercial drivers.

Responsibilities
