Kent School District is seeking substitute transportation drivers/monitors to safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities. The position is temporary and hourly, with varying hours based on assignments. The pay rate ranges from $29.00 to $34.26 per hour. Bus Driver Trainees will receive paid training while completing a 4-week program to obtain a CDL Class B license and endorsements. The temporary employee rate during training is $16.28 per hour, with a maximum of 200 hours. Upon successful completion of training, trainees may be offered a continuing position as a regular or substitute bus driver. The work hours typically fall between 5:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., but may vary significantly.
