Duties will vary depending on the position. Responsibilities Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher, following the lesson plans and curriculum set by the regular teacher. Implement classroom routines, procedures, and expectations to maintain a consistent learning environment. Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment for students. Supervise students during instructional time and in non-instructional settings (e.g., recess, lunch, hallways). Manage classroom behavior effectively, addressing any student issues or disruptions according to the school’s policies. Report any student injuries, illnesses, or serious disciplinary issues to school administration promptly. Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents, if necessary. Assist with grading assignments and other tasks as directed by the school administration. Perform any additional duties as required by the school or district.
