About The Position

The Substitute Aides position is designed for the 2025-2026 school year, specifically for roles in Special Education classrooms and in Cafeteria/Playground settings. The position is part-time and per diem, requiring availability Monday through Friday. The role will be based at David Brearley High School, David Brearley Middle School, and Harding Elementary School. The selected candidates will be responsible for assisting special education students in their learning activities and supporting them in various environments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Willingness to actively assist special education students in the performance of learning activities
• Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate building staff
• Experience working with students with behavioral/learning needs preferred
• Computer skills for instructional support a plus
• Bilingual - Spanish speaking ability desired
