About The Position

This position involves working as a substitute in various roles within the school district, including teaching, maintenance, custodial, and transportation. Substitute applications will not be processed until July/August, and training for substitutes will be scheduled in August/September. Candidates must complete a background check through fingerprinting before they can begin working as a substitute. Once all requirements are met, candidates will be added to the substitute list.

Requirements

• Must complete a background check by fingerprinting.
• Must submit a substitute application.
• Must attend substitute training for classroom positions.

Responsibilities

• Complete and pass a background check by fingerprinting through IdentoGo.
• Submit an application to be considered for substitute positions.
• Attend substitute training if planning to sub in the classroom.
• Complete the appropriate Substitute Application for specific areas such as daycare, maintenance, custodial, or transportation.

Benefits

• Non-Certified Substitute Teacher: $80.00 per day, $100.00 per day after 15 consecutive days with the same teacher.
• Certified Substitute Teacher: $90.00 per day, $150.00 per day after 15 consecutive days with the same teacher.
• Substitute Aide: $70.00 per day, $80.00 per day after 15 consecutive days with the same aide.
