About The Position
The Craft – Substation Technician – T&D will be under general supervision and performs the work in the operation, construction, and maintenance of Electrical Substations and Battery Substations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Required.
- 1+ year working on electrical substations preferred.
- Or Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License Required.
- Ability to travel 5-15%.
Responsibilities
- General construction of electrical substations.
- Underground and above ground conduit.
- Installs underground grounding systems.
- Installs steel structures, electrical substations, and battery substations.
- Installs MV/HV switches and other electrical equipment.
- Assists in the layout and concrete placement of drilled peers.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
- Installing ground grid.
- Operating equipment.
- Site layout
- Place/finish concrete.
- Install AG/BG conduit.
- Pulling control cable/general knowledge of terminating.
- Erecting steel structures.
