About The Position

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our team. This is a full time position with opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge in our High Voltage department. The Substation Project Manager will work will be responsible for managing substation projects within the High Voltage substation marketplace, managing project execution, and overseeing all operations of substation projects. This position reports directly to the High Voltage Division manager and is responsible for the successful execution of the projects. Work Schedule This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm

Requirements

• 10 years’ experience in the high voltage utility substation or substation construction industry.
• Desire to achieve operational, customer, and financial excellence.
• MS Office including Word and Excel with the ability build spreadsheets, graphs, and data points.
• Proven track record of project wind and business growth.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to determine projects’ critical needs.
• Detail oriented and excellent follow through.
• Ability to travel outside of Utah up to 20% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• BS/BA Electrical Engineering preferred.
• PMP Professional Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee substation construction projects within the High Voltage Division.
• Implement High Voltage’s business plan.
• Oversee the execution of substation projects, both new and retrofits.
• Optimistic and ability to lead, couch, and mentor team members.
• Ability to work with upper management and peers throughout the company.
• Proven record of efficiency
• Ability to develop and implement strategies.
• Ability to lead and manage a mobile team of professionals.
• Possess a growth oriented mindset.
• A demonstrated track record of effectively managing substation projects.
• Ability to find and build new relationships and clientele.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by manager.
