General Summary: A Substation Journeyman performs highly skilled, journeyman-level electrical work in the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electric substations, and other related electrical and mechanical equipment associated with high voltage electric substations. Requirements

• Leadership skills
• Good analytical and problem solving, verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Valid CDL Driver's License.
• Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.
• Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program and possession of a valid card or certificate of Substation Journeyman or Journeyman Lineman status
• Considerable experience performing journeyman-level high voltage substation duties with an electric utility or other entity operating and maintaining high voltage substation equipment.
